Pluralsight's Skills Analytics

As a part of the product team, I designed 7 analytics reports that help leaders and admins get greater value and insights from the Skills platform. In collaboration with engineers, product managers, director and VP level leadership, I shipped 9 new product features in an Agile software development environment, with remote teams distributed globally and across different time zones.

I communicate my design vision through Figma, create end-to-end customer journey maps in FigJam, and write documentation in Confluence.

Roles

  • Performing discovery and research
  • Conducting user interviews and testing
  • Facilitating design workshops and reviews
  • Creating high-fidelity prototypes in Figma
  • Solving UX problems resulting in positive business outcome

Design Process

Design Process

My design process is closely aligned with the Nelson Norman Group’s UX training which I have taken part in. At every step of my design process, I keep the users at the forefront of my thoughts, empathizing with their experiences and perspectives. I advocate for the user’s point of view, especially in terms of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

It is also important to gain a thorough understanding of the scope of the project and business goals. During the initial discovery phases, I met with project stakeholders to understand the requirements to successfully complete the project. I then collaborated with other designers to perform user research, defined objectives, and strategized with insights from research.

User Research

I have a strong focus on customer experience, and I performed numerous user interviews and surveys to better understand how the product will be used by customers.

Methods Used

  • Moderated user interviews via Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Unmoderated user testing via UserTesting and Maze
  • Surveys via Google Forms, Qualtrics, and Pendo
  • Heatmaps and UX recordings via Microsoft Clarity and FullStory

Impact

I shipped 9 new product features and 7 analytics reports that help leaders more easily visualize the progress of learners at their organization and see the value of Pluralsight Skills as a tech learning platform.

I also worked under tight timelines to design and deliver 2 major enterprise-level product features that have $18 million and $25 million USD in ARR respectively.
